In 2015, for the group exhibition of the school OH, YEAH, I REMEMBER! I made the object “Operation” on the annexation of Crimea, in which an analogy was drawn between geopolitical and surgical operations – with their unavoidable pain, anesthesia, sutures, possible complications, and the declared therapeutic effect. The work was inspired by my personal experience – an urgent appendix surgery that was performed on me during vacation in the Ukrainian Crimea.
